MakeUp4Art: Hair
Bridal Hair:
I am a makeup artist, not a hairstylist by profession so hair is offered to the bride only merely for practical purposes. Your hair quote will be included in your overall quote, once I have received your Bridal Form. Please email me here to receive a Bridal Form to fill in: Contact Form.

I ask the bride to choose one of the 7 hair styles below and to let me know which one she has chosen, before she books her her hair and makeup trials with me.

Because I am a "makeup artist" primarily I do either "makeup only", or "makeup AND hair", but not "hair
ONLY".

If you do not see a hairstyle from range 1-7 below that you like for your special day, then I can recommend excellent hairstylists here: Service Providers.

Please remember to trim your hair BEFORE your hair trial and NOT after, otherwise your style will look completely different on your wedding day.

Your own hair style will probably look different to the style you choose if your hair is a different length, thickness or texture to these styles below.

I straighten and style or curl ans style clean dry hair. I use three methods to curl hair, hot rollers, a wand or hair wavz, depending on how much hair you have and how much time there is on your wedding day to do your hair.

I don't dry wet hair or do poofs.

I don't attach hair extensions, you need to do that yourself before you come for your hair trial and I only do straight hair styles without poofs with your own hair extensions, because some curl better than your own hair and some do not curl well at all.

Please arrive at your hair trial - and on your wedding day - with squeaky CLEAN and BONE-DRY hair -  with ZERO product in your hair -
use NO deep conditioning treatments the week before. No conditioner is also better as it weighs the curls down. It is a TOTAL MYTH that dirty hair holds curls longer - the exact OPPOSITE is true: http://beauty.lovelyish.com/2010/05/16/beauty-myth-curls-last-longer-with-dirty-hair/
http://baysidebride.com/2012/03/top-hair-and-makeup-myths/
.

I know there are some hairstylists that swear by dirty hair for curls, but that is only because it is easier for THEM to work with the hair. Other hairstylists say the opposite - I have worked alongside hairdressers that have actually made the bride and bridesmaids wash their dirty hair ON their wedding day - Not good if you want to get to the alter on time!

I have no experience with Black or Colored hair textures - therefore I only style White and Asian hair textures.

Bridal Hair trial:
A hair trial is essential for the bride.

Approximately 2 hours. Hair and makeup together is 4 hours, so please tell anyone who brings you how long it is, so they can make other arrangements.

It is against my policy to let anyone wait for you in my home being private, or to sit in on trials. Please read my contract. A trial cannot be rushed, and thats what your lift will do if you make them wait in the car. There are shopping centers nearby for them to visit while they wait.

I stock hair ornaments, like white roses, and diamante or pearly clips, etc. Brides to be can purchase their hair accessories from me when they come for their hair trials. Please ask to see the hair accessories.
